Description:
Farmers in Kollam can benefit from the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) programme, which supports the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment. The support also covers equipment used for post-harvest processing and value-added agricultural activities.
For individual beneficiaries, the subsidy is 40% to 50%, subject to the scheme guidelines. Applications for the current 2026–27 Kerala round can be submitted online from September 22 to October 15, 2026 through the Agrimachinery portal. If eligible applications exceed the available target, beneficiary selection is carried out through an online lottery.
