Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple
Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple is a centuries-old temple in Kottarakkara, Kollam District, known for its traditional Kerala architecture and its famous Mahaganapathi shrine. The temple complex also has shrines dedicated to Shiva, Parvathi, Murugan, Ayyappa and Nagaraja.
The temple is especially famous for its Unniyappam offering, along with rituals such as Mahaganapathi Homam, Udayasthamana Pooja and Pushpanjali. Major celebrations include Vinayaka Chathurthi, Navarathri, Maha Shivaratri and Medathiruvathira.
