A 62-year-old lottery vendor in Mayyanad reported being cheated by an unidentified man who allegedly altered numbers on lottery tickets and claimed they had won prizes. According to the report, she lost around ₹4,000 before discovering the alteration. Eravipuram police registered a case and began an investigation.
